Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Clear Duty collects, why we collect it and what we do with it. Your information is collected by Clear Duty, a business name registered to Richard Farmilo, ABN 80 650 936 256. Contact: hello@clearduty.com.au. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Clear Duty.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
The free psychosocial risk check
The check asks only multiple-choice questions. It has no free-text boxes, and it never asks for workers' names or anyone's health information.
You can answer the questions and see your result without giving us anything. We store your answers only if you ask us to email you the full report. We then store:
- your email address
- whether you ticked the box to get updates from us (it is unticked unless you tick it)
- the state where most of your workers work
- how many people work in the business, as a range such as 20 to 49
- your industry, chosen from a list
- your yes or no answers to three questions about the work: whether workers deal with the public, whether they work alone, off site or outside normal hours, and whether they attend distressing events
- the answer you chose for each of the twelve scored questions
- your total score and result band, worked out from your answers
- the date and time you asked for the report
We do not store your IP address.
Launch lists
You can sign up to hear when the pack launches, or, if most of your workers are outside NSW, when your state is ready. We then store:
- your email address
- which list you joined: the pack launch, or your state
- your state, if you joined a state list
- whether you ticked the box to get updates from us (it is unticked unless you tick it)
- the date and time you signed up
Signing up means we send you one email, when the pack launches or when your state is ready. We send you nothing else unless you tick the separate box for updates.
Buying the pack
If you buy the pack, Stripe handles the payment. We receive your email address and the details we need to confirm the payment and send your download link. We never see or store your card number.
Why we collect it
- To send you the report or the pack you asked for, or the one launch email you signed up for.
- To send you updates about Clear Duty, but only if you ticked the box. Every update has a link to stop them.
- To keep a record of each sale.
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers named below, so they can do these things for us.
Where it is stored
Your information is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this website and its database. These service providers store or process it, in these places:
- Cloudflare, which hosts the website and database: its global network, including the United States.
- Resend, which sends our email: the United States.
- Stripe, which handles payments: the United States and other countries.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
- Your answers to the check and your email: deleted 24 months after you asked for the report, or sooner if you ask.
- Launch lists: deleted 30 days after the launch email for that list is sent, or sooner if you ask. If you ticked the box for updates, we keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Purchase records: kept for the period tax law requires.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Email us at hello@clearduty.com.au to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will delete it within 30 days of your request. The only exception is a record of a purchase that the law requires us to keep.
Questions and complaints
If you have a question or a complaint about how we handle your information, email us at hello@clearduty.com.au. If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
